This bricklayer learner guide (LG) introduces the learner to the structure of the construction industry and its activities. As primary builders of all structures, you will learn the vital role the construction industry plays in developing our economy and society and the role bricklayers play in it. You will also learn about the role players on construction sites and firms.There are various career opportunities available in the construction industry that learners will be exposed to including different crafts and trades. Ethics and teamwork, vital elements to building anything along with Industrial relations (Workmen’s’ Compensation Act, UIF, PAYE on construction occupations) are also included in this LG.
